Fiction and Nonfiction
In addition to my work as a technical editor, I also edit fiction, memoirs, and other creative works. While technical and creative editing are often seen as separate disciplines, my technical background has proven invaluable when shaping compelling, polished narratives.
Whether I’m editing medical brochures, memoirs, or romance novels, I bring the same level of precision to every project. One example is an interactive, decide-your-fate-style novel, where I carefully ensuredstraddle clarity in a nonlinear story that loops, backtracks, and reuses timelines.
Additionally, I've developed a strong foundation in the Chicago Manual of Style throughout my career, which has been particularly useful when working with fiction and nonfiction authors navigating different English conventions. For instance, I’ve helped Canadian authors maintain consistent terminology when blending UK and US English.
Whether I’m adhering to a style guide for a romance novel or untangling a complex narrative structure, I always ensure the final product is accurate and reader-ready.
